Product Description A kindly priest sent to save a financially ailing church turns the boys into a choir & writes them a hit song. Studio: Uni Dist Corp. (mca) Release Date: 02/06/2007 Starring: Bing Crosby Rise Stevens Run time: 126 minutes Rating: Nr
Amazon.com essential video This irresistible Oscar winner from writer-director Leo McCarey (An Affair to Remember) stars Bing Crosby as a low-key, crooning priest who joins the parish of a no-nonsense but sweet old Irish man of the cloth (Barry Fitzgerald). While Bing turns local toughs into a choir, the elder priest worries over the church building fund and whether he'll get a chance to see his old mother back in Ireland before she dies. One would have to have a heart of stone not to be won over by this charmer, with a lovely ending guaranteed to make you bawl for a week. --Tom Keogh

excellent classic movie January 8, 2009 love classic films, thought the acting and story line was very much put together in a fantasitic way.
Sing a Song December 21, 2008 I can't say anymore about this Classic Great then has been said in the last 60 years! It holds up after all this time. Sit back, eat your popcorn and let Bing sing you back to a time when people cared about each other and "Oh, I'll get bye" had such a negative meaning! And of course, who did not get misty eyed at the end? Buy this now and add it to your collection!
Perfect for Christmas December 20, 2008 What better way can a Christmas day be spent? Harken back to when America had an innocence and a hankering to the greater good.
Going My Way - a review December 16, 2008 this product was here, within a couple days of ordering it. It was a birthday-gift for my mother-in-law, and she loves it !!
Classic Musical October 15, 2008 Going My Way (Universal Cinema Classics) The Bells of St. Mary's If you like musicals, these two are some of the best. They don't get any better than this.
