Product Description When Beth and her husband Todd took a missions trip to Mexico thirteen years ago, they just thought it was an opportunity to do a little good with their summer vacation. But they couldn't forget a chance encounter with a forgotten orphanage, couldn't forget that transcendent feeling of having participated in something truly profound and like addicts they wanted that feeling again. A year later, they moved to Monterrey, Mexico. Some might call that reckless. In the years that follow, Beth and Todd establish a ministry that helps orphans--the poorest, most defenseless members of a needy populace. And while the stories here are drawn from those experiences, this book isn't a memoir. It's about living with faith, with the certainty that God will show up, exactly where and exactly when He's needed. Beth calls it a reckless faith--a willingness to trust even when you don't understand. And her book--an inspiring collection of true stories about real people who, when faced with real challenges, chose to trust God--is a call to every reader to live with Reckless Faith.

Bringing reality here September 26, 2008 This book makes this couples pursuit of faith and service real to those of us who have not chosen this life. They (almost blindly) threw themselves into ministry and navigated by faith. This book brings stories of those hurting who have been helped, or those who give so much and make a difference to the surface and show that God's work is being done by those who have the courage to put themselves in a position to try. Fascinating read, because it is REAL.
Inspired!! September 19, 2008 This truly inspiring story will lead you to reach out to others in such an unexpected way! Tears, joy, and a determination to help others will follow this very good read!
Heart warming September 6, 2008 This is a heart warming book about life in Mexico. It shows how fragile and resilient the heart of an orphan child is. Prepare to be inspired to serve others more after reading this book.
This is a MUST READ August 28, 2008 Reckless Faith: Let Go and Be Led
Beth's Reckless Faith is a tremendous account of God doing truly amazing things in the lives of people with 'hearts touched by orphans', particularly in the lives of Monterrey's orphans.
God gave Beth and Todd a 'way outside the box' model for demonstrating the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ to His children, who through no fault of their own, find themselves in desperate situations.
Beth is a gifted story teller, whose stories are gifts to her readers.
Inspiring, thought provoking read August 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I really enjoyed this book. The stories of God's intervention in the lives of these Mexican children are very heartwarming, but also eyeopening to the conditions there. The stories really illustrate how we can benefit from stopping our endless planning and just trusting God to provide. He will exceed our wildest dreams!
