2 out of 5 stars The Mystery is finally solved   November 19, 2008
When compared to Brunstetter's other books and series, this one did not make the grade. This last book in the series was about 95% mystery and suspense although the author took way way too long to develope any meaningful story. There was a tiny bit of love, an even less amount of Amish history and a tiny bit of family relationships. I was intrigued with all the different people who were suspects in the harming of Martha's family, but the ending did give a surprise which, I suppose makes it a good mystery. I am personally happy this series is finished.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent   November 17, 2008

3 out of 5 stars "A Sister's Hope"...but I had hoped for MORE.   September 23, 2008

Wanda is an awesome writer and I have read and enjoyed nearly all of her writings. I felt a bit let down and disappointed with this series, however. The first book held my interest and the story lines were well established but the repetition and mulling over of the attacks, the rumored attackers, the secret liasons between Martha and Luke, the dog business, etc., etc. became tedious and stagnant by book two, and even more so by book 3. It was apparent early on who the culprit was and I struggled to finish the book. I think these three might have been more successfully accomplished in one volume with more development of the other family members and story lines. A little disappointed , but I will still follow this gifted writer as she shares a lovely and simple faith and life-style of the gentle Amish people.

5 out of 5 stars A Sister's Hope by Wanda Brunstetter   September 18, 2008
As always, Wanda presents the Amish way of life as hard and yet you almost wish you could be part of it. Book arrived as promised. Good job.
